Don't Have A Pool? New Service Allows You To Rent One.

What do you do if you want to host a fabulous pool party but you don’t have a pool and you certainly don’t want to dunk your body into water that all the neighborhood kids (and some adults) have most likely peed in? Well now there is a new service that lets you rent a stranger's pool by the hour. Why didn’t I think of this? It’s brilliant!

Swimply is basically Airbnb for pools.  The idea for the service was born when the founder felt his pool wasn’t being used enough. There are pool listings all over the country with photos and a list of amenities like towels, pool toys, and lounge chairs. When you go to you fill in your location, date you need the pool and the number of guests.

I had to try it out so I searched for pools in the Kansas City area available this weekend for 4 adults and 2 kids. Only one listing came up for a Loose Park saltwater pool in a very private backyard with changing room and bathroom, half shade, half sun for $50 an hour. Start making your Labor Day party plans now.
