Get ready…I’m about to throw a bunch of T-Swift updates your way.

An Iowa man is under arrest for trying to break into the Rhode Island home of Taylor Swift.  Officers were called by several concerned residents Friday night about a suspicious man near her home. Cops say 32-year-old David Liddle was carrying a backpack filled with 30 different lock picks, a crowbar, screwdrivers, flashlight and gloves.

He allegedly told police he was hoping to meet Swift and she was going to help launch his singing career. Taylor was not home at the time. Her security personnel told police they were aware of Liddle and that he was on a watch list because they feared he posed a threat.

In more positive Taylor Swift news…the singer released track number five off her album "Lover". During an Instagram live-stream, she said it's become tradition that her track five songs be honest, emotional, vulnerable and personal.  Archer is the third song released before the album drops next month.  Four special editions of the album will also include 120 diary pages written throughout her life.

Taylor Swift is getting lots of love from MTV. The "MTV Video Music Awards" nominees were announced yesterday.  Taylor and Ariana Grande  lead with 10, followed by Billie Eilish with nine.  MTV is also adding two new categories this year…Best K-pop and Video for Good. The ceremony is Monday, August 26th in L.A.  There's no word on a host or any performers yet. Voting is open now at mtv.com.

Gwen Stefani is under the weather and had to cancel tonight’s show in Vegas. Last night she tweeted that she was “unwell” saying “I was so looking forward to seeing everyone and performing and I wish I wasn’t feeling the way I do. I am doing everything I can to be back on stage Friday. “Stefani has a residency at Planet Hollywood called “Just a Girl”.

Meek Mill and Jay-Z are launching a new record label called Dream Chasers Records. Mill will be president overseeing the label and its staff. It will be a division of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Bindi Irwin is engaged. The daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, celebrated her 21st birthday by saying “Yes” to her boyfriend’s proposal. Chandler Powell and Bindi met almost six years ago.

KCK native, Janelle Monae, will replace Julia Roberts as the lead in Season 2 of Homecoming. The original Amazon series is based on the popular podcast of the same name.

My favorite ice-cream scooper from "Stranger Things" is in a band called DJO.  I’m talking about actor, Joe Keery aka Steve "The Hair" Harrington. His band just released a song called "Roddy" if you want to check it out.

and finally…happy birthday to Jennifer Lopez. The singer, dancer, actress, and super fit mom turns 50 today!
