Teresa's Tabloid Trash Wednesday 6/19/19
Let’s kick things off with some music news from Ed Sheeran. My favorite guitar playing ginger announced the track list for his upcoming album No.6 Collaborations Project, and it is overflowing with guest stars. In addition to the already released songs I Don't Care with Justin Bieber, and Cross Me with Chance the Rapper…we can look forward to tracks with Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Eminem, 50 Cent, Bruno Mars, Chris Stapleton and more. The album comes out July 12th.
Ariana Grande does not have a cameo in Taylor Swift’s new celebrity filled You Need to Calm Down video. However, there is a drag queen version of the singer…and she loves it. Grande said on her Instagram Story that she thought her impersonator, Tatianna (RuPaul’s Drag Race) killed it.
She also said she loves the song and its message. You Need to Calm Down comes from Swift's upcoming Lover album, which drops August 23rd.
Also making an appearance in Taylor’s video is the cast of Queer Eye. Yesterday Netflix announced that season four will feature more episodes shot in Kansas City and will debut July 19. The streaming service also confirmed that season five will take place in Philadelphia and will be ready next year.
In other Netflix news…Jerry Seinfeld confirmed his guests on the new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He posted a photo on Instagram with the names, Eddie Murphy, Seth Rogen, Ricky Gervais, Matthew Broderick, Jamie Foxx, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Martin Short. All the episodes will hit Netflix on July 19.
Okay…one more story from Netflix…I promise. The streaming giant is celebrating the success of their latest Adam Sandler project. Murder Mystery which also stars Jennifer Aniston has been watched by over 30 million people in its first three days on the streaming site. That's a record. And the movie might break the first-week record set by Sandra Bullock’s Bird Box last year. I watched Murder Mystery this past weekend. I honestly enjoyed it. It was cheesy and predictable. But it was also funny, light-hearted, and a perfect “cuddle on your couch in your PJs” kind of flick.
The president of Marvel Studios really wants to dethrone Avatar as the highest grossing movie of all time. According to ComicBook.com, Kevin Feige confirmed today that Avengers: Endgame is coming back to theaters next weekend with previously deleted footage and a few surprises after the credits. By the way…that record…Avatar is number one with a global total of $2.788 billion but Endgame is right on its tail with $2.743 billion. Will this re-release put it over the top?
Vanity Fair just gave us a first look at the latest version of the classic story, Little Women. Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet both reunite with their Lady Bird director, Greta Gerwig, to bring the March sisters to life…again. Other familiar faces include Laura Dern, Emma Watson, and Meryl Streep. Little Women will be in theaters this Christmas.
Finally, Lindsay Lohan's MTV reality show is cancelled. Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club will not be back for season two, according to Page Six. Lohan's Greek nightclub, where the show takes place, is also being closed.
