Sometimes You Just Have To Cry It Out

We’ve all been there. You’re overcome with emotion and you just have to cry. If you are like me, you probably have moments when you want to cry for absolutely no reason. (PMS is the worst, right?) I wish I could blame it all on my hormones, but the truth is…I’m just a cry baby. When I was 4 or 5 years old, my parents actually threatened to never let me watch television again if I didn’t stop crying after watching Charlotte’s Web. I cry when I watch my kids perform at their school musicals, during literally EVERY episode of This Is Us and don’t even get me started on those military surprise homecoming videos!

Maybe you don’t cry as much as me but when you DO cry…WHERE do you cry?  A new survey (One Poll) asked people where they break down the most.  Turns out…53 percent of people say they prefer to shed those tears in their car.  As a mom, I would say that is true because it is one of the few places where I can be alone. Here are the top five places we are most likely to cry:

1.  In our car, 53%.

2.  At a family event, 41%.

3.  At work, 34%.

4.  Walking down the street, 29%.

5.  At the grocery store, 16%.

I’m going to check “yes” to all of the above except the grocery store. I’m pretty sure I haven’t cried there since I was a child and my mom wouldn’t let me pick out something from the toy aisle. However, recently the store near my house was remodeled and they moved all of the items to different locations. So, if the question is…have I cried at a grocery store because I just want some Oreos to counteract my emotional cravings and help stabilize my out of control female mood swings then…yes…I guess the answer is yes, I have cried at a grocery store.
